Our History

Scott's Furniture has been family owned and operated for over 75 years. The company first opened in downtown Bridgeville way back in 1935 under the watchful eye of Ralph Scott Sr. The company grew quickly and eventually became too busy for its downtown Bridgeville home. Just as Ralph Scott Jr. was taking over as manager of the company, a new building was erected on route 13 in Bridgeville, halfway between Salisbury, MD and Dover, DE where it has been ever since.

The store is currently managed by Ralph Scott III, the third generation of the Scott family to oversee its operation. The world has seen a lot of changes over the last 77 years. Through it all, Scott's Furniture has continued to offer low prices on better quality furniture, friendly knowledgeable service, and trustworthy sales staff.
